Saving money thanks to the weather? Wise. Energy makes it happen

One of A6K accelerator’s start-ups, Wise. Energy, has launched Wise.Brain, a smart control device that aligns large sites’ electricity consumption with weather-driven renewable generation and hourly market prices. Early results at Deltrian (Fleurus) show promising savings and a lower carbon footprint.
“Producing renewable energy is excellent, but too often it’s underused because systems aren’t synchronized with weather conditions,” says Julien Jirikoff (31), CEO of Wise. Energy. “Wise.Brain helps teams shift flexible loads to the best hours automatically.”
The challenge: lots of green power, little on-site use
On average, only ~37% of renewable electricity produced by large companies is consumed on site, mainly due to weather variability and rigid operations. Meanwhile, hourly power prices swing widely; on sunny or windy days, prices can even go negative, making curtailment costly and inefficient.
The solution: forecast, optimize and act, hour by hour
Wise.Brain ingests weather forecasts, on-site PV/wind output, load flexibility, and market prices to recommend and optionally automate when to increase or reduce consumption. According to Wise. Energy, customers can achieve up to 80% annual savings on the flexible portion of their bill, while improving self-consumption and helping stabilize the grid.

First client in Charleroi area
Deltrian (Fleurus) has deployed Wise.Brain and reports early benefits from price-aware, weather-aware operations. Additional industrials in the Charleroi region are also evaluating the technology thanks to A6K’s acceleration team.
Scaling via partnerships
To ease adoption, Wise. Energy collaborates with partners such as Econocom, enabling as-a-service deployments so customers can generate returns from day one.
