Other Side is digitising SMEs from scratch
Anthony Thonon, 36 year, civil engineer in computer science, is developing a distinctive approach to SME digitalisation through his company, Other Side.
Founded in Gembloux, Wallonia Other Side supports SMEs in their digital transformation by starting from their on-the-ground reality. “My mission is to support SMEs in their digitalisation, starting from their operational reality,” explains its founder.
All-in-one software solution
Other Side develops an all-in-one management software solution designed specifically for each client. The solution combines:
- so-called “classic” modules (invoice management, order entry, etc.)
- “specific” modules, such as product management
The approach is based on a particular methodology.
We start from a blank page with the client to understand exactly what they need.
The software is built using a toolbox developed by the company. This toolbox makes it possible to quickly create management software and contains no business logic. From this base, standard modules are developed, and then client-specific logic is implemented without constraints. The objective: avoid reinventing the wheel with each project while maintaining a high level of flexibility.
Evolutive solution designed for the long term
Other Side also places strong emphasis on client proximity. The model is based on direct contact and personalised support.
The software is designed to evolve progressively. “A company may have an ideal vision, but you don’t reach it overnight. We analyse the needs and deploy the software module by module,” explains the founder.
The developed solution belongs to the client, who can adapt and evolve it according to their needs, unlike more rigid or less flexible products.
Initial industrial references
Among Other Side’s first clients is Malcourant, a company specialised in machining and precision mechanics, engineering and engines. Multivision Screens, a Belgian company specialised in the design, manufacturing and installation of high-end, tailor-made giant screens, is also among its notable references.
Strategic development partner
“A6K is a key partner. The team supports me on aspects I master less, such as commercial, marketing and business strategy,” he explains.
The support notably covers commercial strategy, pricing and target positioning, fundraising, internal organisation, and human resources. As the company structures its growth, Anthony Thonon relies on the A6K ecosystem.
