Reshaping pathways, uses, and interactions
Over the past few weeks, numerous transformations have been taking place throughout the building. While some may still be barely visible, the wait to discover the final outcome of this ambitious project is gradually getting shorter.
Arriving via the station square, the Roman-style façade already reveals significant progress. All demolition works have now been completed, paving the way for the reconstruction of what will become A6K’s new portal.
Inside, teams have begun masonry work, gradually shaping the future office spaces designed to welcome new members and inspiring projects within the community.
As you continue along the water, your attention naturally turns to the ground floor, where the training workshops are taking shape on the north side. Now fitted with glazing, these spaces are filled with natural light along the Sambre, offering a unique environment to train in industry using state-of-the-art machinery. The areas are continuing to take form with the first masonry works, announcing spaces designed to experiment, test, and learn in new ways.
On the south side, the future commercial areas are also starting to emerge. The first structures are rising, giving a glimpse of new offers and services that will enrich the life of the hub and contribute to creating an even more dynamic, vibrant, and connected environment.
Looking up, the footbridge connecting A6K & E6K now stands out in the landscape. Its main structural work is complete, and the next phases will focus on enclosing and finishing this space, turning it into a true link between the two buildings, facilitating movement and embodying the connection between training and innovation.
