Meet our cleantech start-ups with solutions to support the transition of industrial players.
2026 February 4 – For the second edition, District Cleantech and A6K brought together at our premises a network of committed players - start-ups, industrial leaders, and financial partners - all united around a common goal: accelerating the transition towards sustainable technologies.
This event offered a unique opportunity to discover 13 innovative start-ups already shaping the world of tomorrow, in an atmosphere conducive to networking, inspiring discussions, and meaningful connections. Industrial players, innovators, and investors engaged around concrete solutions to drive the sustainable transformation of the industrial sector.
A highlight: an inspiring keynote
The morning kicked off with a keynote by Virginie Dufrasne, Lixon, and Fabrice Brion, I-care Group, who shared their journeys, ambitions and vision for accelerating the industrial transition, followed by an interactive discussion with the audience.
Spotlight on the start-ups driving change
For those who couldn’t attend, here’s a look at the 13 breakthrough start-ups that presented innovative solutions to support decarbonization, energy optimization, and industrial circularity.
AISET - Technical building management
AISET presented its platform dedicated to technical building management, helping real estate stakeholders operate their assets with greater clarity and confidence. By centralizing technical, regulatory, and energy data, and leveraging artificial intelligence, AISET supports day-to-day efficiency while enabling more sustainable and informed decision-making.
CellX - Sustainable treatment of chemical waste
CellX Biosolutions AG showcased its bacterial solutions designed to eliminate PFAS from contaminated land and wastewater. During the event, CellX highlighted its catalog of more than 50 PFAS-degrading bacteria now being scaled, enabling low-carbon soil remediation and a sustainable alternative to incineration for polluted industrial wastewater.
Enfoil - Solar materials
Enfoil introduced its flexible photovoltaic materials, turning ordinary surfaces into energy-generating ones, developing thin, durable CIGS-based solar foils that manufacturers can integrate into buildings, vehicles, and urban infrastructure, expanding where and how solar energy can be used.
ENKA - Energy storage
ENKA took the opportunity to present its integrated approach to energy storage, covering financing, engineering, construction, and asset management, as well as its ambition to deliver energy flexibility solutions that enhance grid performance and accelerate the development of renewable energy.
Enosis - CCU, renewable energy
ENOSIS, a French innovative company promoting the development toward a carbon-neutral future, highlighted its P2X projects for the production and sale of renewable e-fuels from recycled CO₂, as well as its equipment for CO₂ recycling, all based on a patented biological methanation technology.
Fluiscope - Portable sensors for contamination screening
Fluiscope, a spin-off from UCLouvain, unveiled its portable sensors for rapid, on-site contamination screening. The start-up demonstrated how its modular diagnostic toolkits support fast decision-making in One Health contexts, covering human, environmental, sanitary, and agri-food contamination.
Four-C by Duferco Logistique and Shipit - Logistics, construction
Four-C, a collaboration between Shipit and Duferco Logistique in the Charleroi region, explained how Shipit’s expertise in last-mile construction logistics combines with Duferco Logistique’s regional infrastructure and assets to deliver integrated, flexible, and cost-effective logistics solutions.
H2WIN - Hydrogen, catalysis, enzyme, fuel cell
H2WIN introduced its advanced enzymes, nature’s catalysts, developed to support the transition to a green hydrogen economy. By presenting its cutting-edge enzymatic technologies for fuel cells and hydrogen production, H2WIN highlighted how these solutions enhance efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to a more resilient, geopolitically independent energy future.
Living Forest - Health beverages and circular water filtration
Living Forest presented its dual activity, combining the production of kombucha with natural forest-inspired flavors and the valorization of its fermentation co-product, the SCOBY. The start-up highlighted how this co-product is transformed into circular solutions, notably for sustainable water filtration.
Novobiom - Biotechnologies
Novobiom showcased its biotechnology solutions leveraging the fungal kingdom to transform waste into valuable resources. By combining mycology with advanced modeling tools, the start-up develops solutions for soil and industrial waste bioremediation, textile recycling, and the production of high-value biomolecules.
Permafungi - Eco-materials
Permafungi revealed how it transforms sawdust into innovative myco-materials through collaboration with mycelium. The start-up highlighted the applications of these materials as alternatives to plastics, particularly in packaging, construction, and funeral urns, as well as the inauguration in 2025 of the largest myco-materials factory in Europe following a €5.5 million funding round.
Waste-end - Biomethanization
Waste-end presented its solution dedicated to food waste valorization, addressing both waste reduction and the production of green energy. Through biomethanization, the company offers a concrete response to the challenges of food waste management and renewable energy generation.
WISE. Energy - Energy
By optimizing the use of existing energy assets and unlocking access to flexibility markets, WISE. Energy generates both energy cost savings and new revenue streams, while contributing to CO₂ reduction goals.
Rich and promising exchanges
After the pitches, it was time for a moment of conviviality,. Start-ups and participants had the opportunity to connect freely, share their visions, and discuss sustainable and innovative solutions. The networking session lived up to expectations, with authentic discussions, valuable connections, and promising collaboration prospects.
